All weekend shows will move to a 2 ½ day format for 2008. Class order will be as follows for our March, May/June and October shows: (refer to our EPRHA website for dates and show schedule/patterns or look for them in our newsletters.)
Friday: Novice Horse – Green
Saturday: Youth 13 < /14 to 18 – Rookie – Youth Short Stirrup – Open (all divisions)– Non Pro (all divisions) – Novice Horse (second slate classes begins on Saturday)
Sunday: Youth 13 < /14 to 18 – Rookie – Youth Short Stirrup – Open (all divisions) – Non Pro (all divisions) – Green
With the exception of our March show, classes will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday and 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Our March show will begin on Friday at 12:00 noon so we may have our awards banquet on Friday evening.
Our Aged event shows, July and September (Derby and Futurity shows) will be three full days. Class order and start times will vary. Please look for details on our EPRHA website, www.ephra.com and in our EPRHA newsletters.
New divisions for 2008 have been added to our slates of classes. They include: Primetime Rookie, Primetime Non Pro and Youth Rookie. These new divisions will run concurrent with their respective classes. Primetime Rookie must cross-enter into Rookie per NRHA rules.
Quick Reminder – Green Reiner eligibility: If you have earned $50 in Green or combination of Green and NRHA approved classes or you have more than 25 youth points you are not eligible for our Green Reiner division. As always, your pattern will be the same as Rookie. You do not need to own your horse to show in our Green Reiner division. You may show one or two handed (no switching during pattern) and you must complete pattern as outlined in the NRHA rule book.
Youth Short Stirrup 10 and under – Class will be after the Rookie class as outlined above. Please see class schedule for our Aged Events shows in July and September for order of go for this class.
Limited Open and Rookie Professional –Added money has been increased for 2008. Added money for the Rookie Professional will be $300 for both slates of classes and Limited open will be $300 as well. At our aged events shows in July and September, Limited Open will be increased to $500 for one slate of classes.
